La Napalm Records annuncia che il nuovo album dei Sirenia sarà sul mercato il 26 maggio e sarà intitolato “1977”. Proprio dall’undicesimo album dei Sirenia l’etichetta e band presentano la canzone “Twist in my Sobriety”, un celebre pezzo del 1988 di Tanita Tikaram.
“1977” si annuncia come una novità perché la symphonic metal band esplora un nuovo stile mai fatto prima, cioè sviluppando sonorità tipiche della synthwave.
